This eight-page assessment tool was developed by Brother John Mark Falkenhain, O.S.B., for the Men Religious Moving Forward in Hope gatherings held in 2013-14. This assessment tool may be used in a variety of ways depending on the nature and structure of the religious institute. It can be adapted to a number of settings. For instance it can be used for individual reflection, in a series of small group discussions, or by leadership to generate strategic initiatives.
The overarching aim of this assessment tool is to identify areas of strengths and areas that need development. Assessment questions are organized under six categories: charism, community, spiritual life & prayer, work, preparation for celibacy, and relationship to the larger church.
