About the NRVC Collaboration with NFCYM
NRVC has been a formal national collaborator with the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry (NFCYM) since 2005. This collaboration is because the NRVC values fostering a culture of vocations in a spirit of collaboration, joy, and hope to inspire and be inspired by the minds and hearts of the young Church. It is also one of the goals in the 2025-2028 NRVC Directional Statements:
Many NRVC members participate in the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) biennial conference in Indianapolis. This conference is the single largest gathering of youth in the United States. There is a West Coast NCYC on even years as well.
Since 2013, NRVC has organized vocation teams to promote vocations to religious life at NCYC in Indianapolis. In 2025, the NRVC will be sponsoring the t-shirt swap in the interactive exhibit hall and is encouraging members to participate by donating new and gently used t-shirts and vocation promotion items to give away.
In 2012, NRVC selected NFCYM as the recipient of the prestigious Harvest Award for its collaborative efforts to promote a culture of vocations among teens.
